There has been a lot of blogtroversy lately over blog privacy that has had me thinking a lot this past month. There are a lot of crazies out there and I don't want to somehow put my family at risk by having our last names and any reference to where we live on my blog. A couple of friends have decided to go private and a couple of more have changed the names of their blogs and deleted personal information(last names, location info, etc.) just recently. I have decided that going private is not for me- I have made too many great friends and have reconnected with many old friends this way. I think if I'm just more careful about what information I put out there, that'll work for me. Since my last name was in the blog address of my last blog, I decided to change it. So, I have jumped on the "blog name change bandwagon." :)
***Also, I'm asking that those of you who have me(or my husband) linked on your blog, if you could please change the name you have us listed under to just "Holly" or "Joey" instead of "------ Family", or "Joey ------"that would be helpful. Or you could list us by our blog title or whatever you want without our last names-THANKS!! And also, in any comments or posts you create, please don't use our last name when referring to us. I know this sounds ultra-paranoid to some of you, but I don't think you can be too paranoid when it comes to your children.
Sorry for being a pain in the butt! I just want to take a few extra precautions to prevent any possible future crazies from knowing info about us I'd rather they didn't know. Now to get to work on sifting through past posts and changing the header. . .

sorry:). . .its something that has been on my mind for a long time though. and things that have been discussed lately have made me think about it more. so, today i took the blog change plunge:)
YAY for you! It's a good thing to do. Go check whitepages.com. I found that you can ask to be taken off. I asked today and they do it in 3-5 days. ;) Look toward the bottom of the page-- there is a link that says something like "This is me and I want to be removed".
I'm moving my blog on Saturday. In fact, I'm doing a whole rehaul on the links on the side. can I change you on Saturday? ;)

thanks cyndi,melissa & tara for the new header compliments:) it was a pain in the booty to do last night, but its done, and i'm happy with it. we just take SO many pictures that it was time consuming searching for the perfect shots.

I use the name of the blog when I use it as a link. So if you reveal your true identity to the world, so will I. Having said that, my blog's been neglected for a while (due my travels) and so the link hasn't been updated yet.
